There are two verses in Psalm 37 that instruct us to delight in the Lord. One morning I asked the Lord to help me experience delighting in Him. 

Later that morning, while driving, I was moved to sing praises and pray with gratitude for the beautiful fall colors around me. I discovered a little better understanding of delight. 

As I approached my destination, God must’ve decided to give me even more to delight over. With no rain in sight, I marveled at a beautiful rainbow hovering over my destination. 

Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” 

If we enjoy and gain great pleasure from our relationship with the Lord, He will delight Himself in us and our passions.
