In the book of Ruth, Boaz is a generous man who abides by God’s mandates. For instance, Boaz did not reap his fields all the way to the edge so that the poor could gather the leftovers.
Boaz demonstrated an abundance mentality that unfortunately far too few business leaders embrace. A scarcity mindset, however, says I might need all the harvest, leaving no room for generosity.
Boaz, however, realized that all provision comes from God, and God has unlimited resources. Therefore, it’s more prudent to have an abundance mindset and generously provide for others.
Proverbs 22:9 teaches, “Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.”
