When I speak in public, I have often experienced the fruitfulness of abiding. That’s because I’m often seeking God fervently and following His lead.
As I speak, I have often felt the Holy Spirit prompt me to share a story or passage that wasn’t in my notes. That story or passage usually has the greatest impact.
In John 15:4, Jesus said, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”
Being in constant communication and presence with our Father, and dependent upon Him, is a fruitful exercise.
