Sociologists Michael Emerson and Glenn Bracey conducted a study surveying Christians of all races. They highlighted Bible passages that might impact different races, with a conclusion of how the passage might be applied.

They were surprised to discover that most Black, Asian, and Hispanic Christians affirmed their conclusions, but only 1/3 of white Christians concurred.

I have not yet read the related book, “The Religion of Whiteness: How Racism Distorts Christian Faith.” Supposedly, they believe they may have uncovered some racial blind spots in our culture.

Jesus said in Luke 6:39, “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?”

As business leaders, I believe we need to be open to exploring potential blind spots. This may be a book worthy of exploration.
