Winston Churchill was a complicated man with a colorful history. Although he had vast political experiences, his early years had many colossal failures which haunted him.

Yet, Churchill is famous today because of his accomplishments later in life. His courageous leadership led Britain and its allies to defeat Germany in World War II when victory seemed unlikely.

Although strategy was an important part of Churchill's success, his best talent was his use of words. His words became Britain's best weapon. Because of his careful selection of words Churchill knew how to inspire people to rally around unpopular ideas.

Proverbs 18:4 teaches, "The words of a person's mouth are deep waters; The fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook."

When leading others in a new direction, remember that your words do matter.
