We can spend to exalt ourselves buying products and services that make us feel worthy. But a scriptural approach to spending calls us to live within our means, budget funds to meet priority needs, and serve others.
Wise spending is reflected in Jesus’ words in Luke 14:28: “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?”
Consider if your spending reflects wise stewardship or if it is built on selfish needs.
