As I began reviewing job applications recently, it seemed that the resumes and cover letters were often flawless. Then, I realized that it was likely that more job applicants are using AI to craft their letters and resumes.
If I need a certain attribute, like someone who is detail-oriented, AI could easily cover up information I need to know. Finding other ways to verify the skills and attributes of applicants is becoming even more critical.
1 John 4:1 teaches, “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
Just as it’s wise to test every spirit, as employers, we should test job applicants through assessment tools and references, looking for those needed attributes.
