Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

In his book, The Speed of Trust, Stephen Covey says, “The principle is simply this: We tend to get what we expect—both from ourselves and from others. When we expect more, we tend to get more; when we expect less, we tend to get less.”

Expectations produce an undercurrent for a certain level of productivity. It’s an undercurrent that produces growth or decline. Expectations of others start with clear expectations for self.

Luke 6:34 says, “If you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners in order to receive back the same amount.”

Clear expectations will create open pathways of communication among the team members. Remember expectations set a precedence for acceptable behavior, communication and conduct.
