A 2017 Monster.com poll found that of the over 3,000 participants, 61% say they have been snubbed for a promotion or an award at work. That means that over half of the working population believes they did not get something that they believe was well-deserved.

But is being “snubbed” always a bad thing? Being skipped over for a promotion does not feel good, but what if it was God’s way of protecting, providing, planning and preparing for HIS perfect time and path.

Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

Being skipped over for a promotion is an obvious closed door. Closed doors can be seen as a blessing if they provide clarity to the one standing on the doorstep.
