While visiting the offices of one of our event sponsors I noticed a room being prepared and filled with tables and chairs. I was informed that each year the owners and managers of the business rise early to humbly serve their staff breakfast.
Jesus taught in Luke 18:14, “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
I’ve met many of the employees who were served breakfast that morning. They are quick to give honor and praise to their bosses out of the respect they hold for these humble leaders. Humility pleases God and those we serve.
