In business we can easily get into a cat and mouse game of chasing titles. Our human nature hungers for notoriety and recognition. We long for someone or something to make us feel important.
Isaiah 62:2 says, “The nations will see your righteousness, and all the kings your glory; And you will be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord will designate.”
God blesses His people with favor. God promises us a new name, a fresh identity, as we put our trust in Him. He wants us to long for our importance and identity to be found in Him.
Take time today to evaluate your heart and desire to have a title. What if we were more satisfied with God’s title for us than the worlds?
