Whether it’s landing a deal that seemed impossible or implementing a new software program on time, we all love experiencing success. For those who follow Jesus, however, it’s important to remember where those successes came from, and to give credit where credit is due.
Joseph was a great role model. Even though he had been sold into slavery, Joseph was given a great opportunity in managing Potiphar’s household, where he flourished.
Genesis 39:5 says, “From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph.”
Joseph humbly knew from where his success came, giving God the glory when he had opportunity. When God gives you success, remember that your success comes from above.
