Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

In 1978, two psychologists, Pauline Clance and Suzanne Imes, coined the term “impostor syndrome.” They described it as the feeling of “phoniness in people who believe that they’re not intelligent, capable, or creative despite evidence of high achievement.”

God has provided us with God-given talent and skills, making our job look easy at times. Our success, coupled with the lies we often tell ourselves, can result in feeling like an unworthy impostor.

In Exodus 31 God said about Bezalel, “I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze.”

God has also given you unique skills and abilities. Don’t undermine His gift by believing the lie that you’re an impostor.
