Success in business brings with it a tension in acknowledging the source of that success. Pride can easily surface with the success being credited to the individual.
Yesterday we talked about the “Impostor Syndrome.” This is when some leaders feel unworthy of the success they have experienced. This can result in what appears to be humility, but taken to an extreme can undermine the glory God deserves for providing the skills necessary for success.
Ephesians 2:10 teaches, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
When you have experienced some successes in your workplace, don’t seize the credit or undermine what has been accomplished. Instead, be proud of what God has accomplished through you and give Him the praise.
