When I was 25 years old, I started a faddish used car rental agency. After a year of struggling through a terrible economy and a small business loan at 21% interest, a friend wisely recommended I close the business.
After working through my pride, and finally concluding that my friend was right, the next emotion I had to tackle was my fear. My mind raced daily with fears about finding a job quickly and how I would pay back monies I had borrowed from family.
Usually optimistic, my situation became overwhelming and depressing at times.
Jesus taught in Matthew 10:31, “So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.”
No matter how daunting the situation, Jesus encourages us not to fear, because He cares and provides.
