Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
While walking in downtown Springfield Illinois, Kathy and I were stopped by a very articulate man. He shared how he was on staff with a well-known ministry visiting Springfield for a conference with his family.
This middle-aged man claimed that his keys were locked in his car, and that he was $11 short in paying the locksmith. Kathy recommended that we walk to his car and pay the locksmith directly.
He was so convincing that we never made it to the car. We eventually gave him the $11. When Kathy and I compared notes later we realized that we had probably been scammed.
Proverbs 10:23 teaches, “Doing wickedness is like sport to a fool.”
Some deceivers are so convincing, the only weapon you have is prayer.
