As many Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion departments across Corporate America dissolve, many may wonder how we arrived here. Many policies were established with the sincere desire of offering better treatment and opportunity to minorities who had experienced injustice.
However, many non-minority competent people were passed over for jobs, resulting in claims and lawsuits from those who felt like they were experiencing racism in reverse.
During Jesus’ era, many Jews and Greeks expressed prejudice against each other. God had a better plan.
Romans 10:12 says, “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.”
As business leaders, our business practices should treat all people fairly based on their character and performance, not their race.
