Years ago, I served on an advisory board of a national ministry. We were meeting and praying with the executive director to better understand why his ministry seemed to be void of fruit.
The deeper we dug, the more puzzled we became. Then the Holy Spirit began working. Days later, the executive director of this ministry informed us that he was stepping down due to sexual addiction.
In response to Israel’s sin, in Haggai 1:10, God said, “Because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains…”
Sometimes fruitlessness is a sign of sin in the camp. The best way to uncover the sin is through prayer, accountability, and allowing the Holy Spirit to work.
