In Daniel 4, King Nebuchadnezzar asked Daniel to interpret his dream. Daniel begrudgingly warned the king that if he didn’t renounce his sins that God would cause him to lose his kingdom and wander the forest for seven years.
Though the king was warned, one year later, the king pridefully declared how great he and his kingdom had become. Daniel’s prophecy comes true, bringing severe consequences for the king and his kingdom.
In Daniel 4:27, Daniel said, “Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.”
If you have sin in your life, don’t be like King Nebuchadnezzar. Take Daniel’s advice and renounce your sins.
