My friend, Kent Humphries, who is now with the Lord, wrote a book called Shepherding Horses. Kent wrote this book for pastors to help them equip their highly driven entrepreneurs and business leaders, who are more like wild horses than sheep.
These kinds of leaders may be much harder to manage. But when equipped properly for ministering to others, their impact can be huge.
Some of these leaders have the respect of hundreds or thousands of people in the marketplace.
Ephesians 4:11 teaches, “He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”
Pastors are called to also equip the wild horses in their congregation for ministering to the marketplace and beyond.
