Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx

While in a season of struggling to find God’s direction for my work, a friend recommended I take a spiritual retreat. I was intrigued but unfamiliar with how to go about it. He pointed me to a retreat center that I had driven by many times but hadn’t bothered to investigate.
The center’s director was incredibly helpful and set me up in a quiet room overlooking a beautiful, wooded area. I started awkwardly but eventually found a rhythm of Bible reading, prayer, and journaling to hear God’s guidance. I’ve been back repeatedly since.
Psalm 119:107 (NASB) says, “I am exceedingly afflicted; Revive me, Lord, according to Your word.”
When work gets overwhelming, instead of working harder to find a solution, consider stepping back to seek God’s guidance, direction, and strength.
