Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
When Joel Kaplan, an executive with Facebook, was seen sitting behind his friend Judge Kavanaugh at the Supreme Court hearings last month, it caused a firestorm. Many Facebook employees began complaining online.
It became so intense that Facebook called an all employee meeting to assure their employees that Facebook is apolitical. At that meeting Kaplan apologized for not letting his superiors know that he was going to attend the hearings.
1 Peter 2:17 teaches, “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.”
Mr. Kaplan could have respected his superiors by informing them of his plans, but Facebook employees could also have respected Kaplan’s individual right to support his friend, Judge Kavanaugh.
In this politically charged environment lets work hard to respect everyone.
