A friend of mine recently expressed concern for the young adults who work for him. My friend’s business is seeing significant turnover as many young adults are giving up and moving home due to their COVID related anxiety and depression.
A November 23rd National Center for Health Statistics study revealed that almost 50% of 18-29 year-olds are experiencing significant anxiety or depression––about 6 times greater than the average population over the last decade.
Romans 12:12 teaches, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Our young adults have less experience coping with trials, less resources to survive financially, and less context to find hope in what seems like an endless season. Now is a good time to point them to prayer, perseverance and Jesus Christ.
