According to Decision magazine, Valerie Kloosterman’s employer, University of Michigan Health, required her to take a diversity survey. Due to her faith, Valerie said, “No,” when asked if she’d be willing to refer patients for gender surgery. Â
This led to several heated meetings, ultimately resulting in Valerie being fired. She is now being represented by First Liberty Counsel because the University did not make any accommodations for her faith as required by law.Â
In 2 Corinthians 12:10, The Apostle Paul wrote, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”Â
As followers of Jesus, there may be times we will be persecuted, but those are times when God will be our strength.Â
