Imagine riding your bicycle. When you begin picking up speed, something happens to cause you to come to a full stop, forcing you to start over. In most workplaces, this goes on regularly, when we stop to review incoming emails or attend to distractions.
Author, Mauro Thomas, believes there are three things that can help us overcome distractions. Become aware of it, devise plans to overcome it, and utilize a principle called activation energy. Activation energy means breaking down your tasks into small steps.
In Luke 10:40, we read, “But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made.”
Martha had the opportunity to spend time with Jesus, but, she became distracted. If you’re frequently getting distracted, consider Mauro Thomas’ steps for overcoming those distractions.
