While Julie Jaman was showering in a YMCA in Washington, she heard a man’s voice. She peaked out to see a man dressed in a woman’s bathing suit watching naked little girls.
Jaman shouted at this man to get out. She then complained to a pool staffer.
The YMCA staff had an important decision to make; protect the safety and modesty of an older woman and several children or condone the immoral behavior of her fellow employee.
Jaman was banned permanently from the YMCA for discrimination.
Deuteronomy 22:5 says, “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.”
As employers, we should protect the innocence of children rather than condoning the immoral behavior of a few.
