Recently, Kathy and I had the opportunity to tour the facilities of Vermeer Corporation in Pella, Iowa. One of the more impressive parts of the tour was witnessing the thought given to developing efficient processes in all parts of this enormous plant.

Vermeer’s pursuit of continuous improvement has no bounds. They even chose to analyze the processes around their company chaplain program!

They determined that chaplains were spending less quality time with employees due to a variety of factors. Their process-driven mindset resulted in enhancing not only their manufacturing processes, but also in helping their chaplains to serve more people.

1 Corinthians 14:40 teaches, “But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.”

In order to serve people better, we often need to begin by establishing orderly processes.
