In his early 20s, my friend, Butch, bounced from job to job. I remember feeling sorry for him because he seemed lost.

That's until the day Butch proudly pronounced to his father, "I was hired today to work at your company." Butch's father was a successful construction superintendent.

Butch's dad was apprehensive because of Butch's past work history. But Butch persevered. Recently, Butch retired from a very successful career as a construction superintendent, just like his father.

Imagine the spared suffering if Butch had discovered his purpose earlier.

Proverbs 20:5 teaches, "The purpose in a man's heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out."

If you lead young adults, helping them discover their purpose may be the best thing you can do for them.
