Years ago, I was selling my used car. One family came to look at the car for their teenage daughter.
This father tried to negotiate the price lower. But I knew my price for this car was a fair price and I could tell his daughter loved the car, so, I said, “No.”
As the family drove away, I told my wife, “He’ll be back.” A few minutes later he came back and sheepishly said to me, “You knew I wasn’t going to get away without buying your car, didn’t you?”
Proverbs 20:14 says, “It’s no good, it’s no good!” says the buyer— then goes off and boasts about the purchase.”
If you’ve set a fair price for your products or services, don’t allow negotiating tactics to devalue your price.
