Kathy and I recently viewed the Napoleon exhibit at our local art museum. One of the themes that stood out to me was Napoleon’s extreme efforts to shape the people’s perceptions of him and of his kingdom.
At five foot four inches, and being bullied as a child, Napoleon was believed to have had an inferiority complex. Napoleon invested tremendous amounts of money and time in having portraits painted that were staged to show him as royalty and even as deity at times.
Ephesians 5:6 says, “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.”
In business, there are many who try to convince us that they’re more important than they really may be. Be careful not to be deceived.
