Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx

As I reflect on my career, I realize that early on I made some poor decisions out of my lack of maturity. One time, after working a grueling 70-hour week, I was reprimanded by a supervisor I didn’t respect, and one of our partners, for something I felt was unwarranted.
Later that day, that supervisor piled a large stack of files on my desk and gave me a Monday morning deadline. That was all I could take. I told her, “I quit” and walked out.
Proverbs 10:8 says, “The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.”
My lack of maturity and wisdom resulted in a rash decision that could have been handled much better. When confronted with challenges, may God grant you a wise heart.
