The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade was wrapping-up when evil surfaced. Gunfire rang out and people began to scatter, while some lay wounded or dying.
This day of celebration turned to mourning as our city learned of one death and twenty-two injuries, including many children.
Fortunately, the community of Kansas City immediately rallied. Prayer vigils and fundraising campaigns surfaced, and the churches of Kansas City worked together to support the community emotionally, financially and spiritually.
Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
There are times when evil undermines victory in business as well. But if we stand unified, God will bring good out of bad situations.
