Listen to the latest 60 second episode of Integrity Moments with Rick Boxx
Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

Many people pursue wealth at the expense of relationships with family and friends. Why is that? I think it’s because,

  • Money appears easier to achieve than healthy relationships, and
  • We mistakenly think money will insulate us and give us the upper hand when we have relationship problems.

Proverbs 23 teaches, “Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit. In the blink of an eye wealth disappears, for it will sprout wings and fly away like an eagle.”

Every person’s soul craves more wealth, regardless of how much we have. Manage wisely and well what you have, and you will be much happier than if you acquire more.

Better yet, invest in relationships with people who don’t care how much money you have.
