As I met with Grace about her desire to launch a new business, I was reminded of how scary it can be to leave a job to pursue your passion. But when God makes it clear that He is calling you to step into something new, disobedience shouldn’t be an option.
In Jonah 1, God said to Jonah, “‘Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.’ But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish.”
Jonah was ultimately forced into obedience through the belly of a big fish. Immediate obedience would have been less painful. Pray and seek confirmation, but ultimately when you know God is calling you to start a new business, you need to obey.
