If you have ever wondered if God values work, consider the number of jobs he has held.
In “Workplace Grace,” authors Bill Peel and Walt Larimore list nearly two dozen occupations of God, including landscape architect, judge, farmer, environmental engineer, teacher, and inventor.
The creation story in Genesis recounts God’s work. “This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens…Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” (Genesis 2:4-7)
God finds value in work. Just as God valued what he created, we can rejoice knowing that God values our work, too.
