Pastor and author, Tim Keller, defines work as “rearranging the raw material of God’s creation in such a way that it helps the world in general, and people in particular, thrive and flourish.”
God provides us examples of what work looks like. He used the most raw materials around to create something from nothing. God created. God was the original, the ultimate entrepreneur.
Genesis 2:7 says, “Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”
When feeling starved for creativity, ideas and innovation, look to the ultimate entrepreneur for inspiration to create something new. God can help you understand how to “rearrange the raw materials” he has given you.
