While finishing my undergraduate studies, my graduation date was set for December. My new job with a national CPA firm started in January.
My schooling was paid for by my hard work, some student loans, and in the final semester, through some desperate use of credit cards. My credit card repayment plan revolved around my first paycheck.
However, in January I learned that my employer only paid once a month, and I had missed the cutoff. My paycheck was a month later than anticipated which made for an extremely stressful and scary month.
Proverbs 3:5 teaches, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding.”
Transitions often come with unexpected surprises. All we can do is to trust God with the result.
