Although many employees leave work early on New Year’s Eve, some businesses require harder work at the end of the year. When I was a banker, I occasionally had to help customers finance their purchase of a business or major equipment before the tax year ended, making New Year’s Eve a long work day.
When you’re surrounded by many who are done for the day, or who are already celebrating the New Year, it can be challenging to persevere with excellence to the end of your project.
James 1:4 teaches, “Perseverance must finishits work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
If you have loose ends that need tied up before midnight on December 31st, persevere and finish well. God is working on you as well!
