A 2016 study by University of California researchers discovered that 29% of entrepreneurs have ADHD. Only 5% of the general population struggle with the diagnoses.
Dr. Johan Wiklund researched ADHD’s impact on entrepreneurs. He discovered that ADHD comes with three basic traits; hyperactivity, inattentiveness, and impulsivity.
He found that these traits can be harnessed into strengths for entrepreneurs. Being hyper-focused risk takers, who seize opportunities, makes many entrepreneurs successful.
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Your weakness may not be ADHD. But be encouraged. With Christ’s power your weaknesses can become strengths.
