My wife, Kathy, is spiritually gifted as an encourager.
Recently, we were in a Museum of the Bible waiting room when a class of black high school students from a Christian school entered. Being more introverted, I inwardly cringed as Kathy stepped upon a chair and asked for everyone’s attention.
Kathy informed this group that they were the next generation that God was preparing for our nation’s future challenges. They smiled as she encouraged these students that God has special plans for them.
Hebrews 3:13 says, “But encourage one another every day, as long as it is still called “today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”
Some may be gifted encouragers, but each of us can encourage others when given the opportunity.
