While interviewing a new job applicant, I invited our team to join the interview. Later in the interview our applicant had some questions of her own.
She specifically wanted to know if we would be “micromanaging” her. A couple of our staff members chuckled at her question.
One team member told her, “We hire good people then let them do their job. Micromanaging won’t be a problem.”
In 2 Corinthians 13:10, Paul wrote, “This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority—the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.”
Most people in the workplace appreciate being empowered to do their job rather than being micromanaged.
