When Hobby Lobby sued the U.S. government over the healthcare mandate in 2012, a significant legal issue arose for the court to decide. The issue was whether companies had religious freedoms.
Individuals have long had religious freedom, but the Courts hadn’t yet decided whether businesses had similar rights.
One factor that swayed the court was that Hobby Lobby had a Statement of Faith and a history of abiding by that Statement of Faith. This led the court to believe that Hobby Lobby had religious rights as well as individuals.
James 2:17 teaches, “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
If you want your religious freedoms as a company to survive in court, consider developing a Statement of Faith, then, live according to that statement.
