In business, there are times when you may invest in an employee, only to learn they are leaving for a new opportunity. It’s hard not to feel betrayed and disappointed.

The disappointment can be even greater when their departure leaves you with little return on your investment.

The Apostle Paul and Barnabas split over their disagreement about Mark. Mark disappointed Paul when Mark abandoned them.

In Acts 15:38 we read, “But Paul insisted that they should not take along this man who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone on with them to the work.”

Paul and Barnabas’ split resulted in more churches planted, and Mark maturing spiritually. If someone has disappointed you recently, remember, God may have a better plan for that person than your plan.
