According to muchneeded.com, Cyber Monday has become the biggest shopping day of the year. For the workplace that means less productivity, because 95% of consumers do their Cyber Monday shopping at work!
For employers, you have three choices. First, you can ignore the issue and allow your employees to shop online unhindered. (This choice can be costly because some consumers spend up to 3 hours online shopping.)
The second choice is to strictly enforce a ban on online shopping.
Finally, you can acknowledge the problem and give employees some reasonable boundaries for shopping.
James 3:17 teaches, “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.”
Being reasonable and full of mercy may especially be wise on this day.
