Scooters Coffee franchisee, Tracy Bouwens, shared with our network about her transition from being a stay-at-home mom to owning her first Scooters store. She hired a new employee, gave her a Scooters uniform, and instructed her to start work on Monday.
On Monday, the employee arrived but wasn't wearing her uniform. Tracy considered possible reasons for her disobedience and overlooked her indiscretion for days. Then Tracy realized the situation wouldn't improve until Tracy was clear and firm.
Titus 1:9 teaches, "(An Overseer) must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it."
In leadership, there will be employees who will not comply with your requests unless you are clear and direct.
