Recently, I came across a video of Presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush. They were discussing their unusual friendship and how, despite their political differences, they had grown to become close friends.

In a culture that seems void of civility, it’s refreshing to be reminded of what can be and, the civility we should strive towards. It seems our lack of political civility has spilled over into the marketplace.

In my opinion, it has become harder for people of different political views to treat their work peers with respect.

1 Peter 2:17 teaches, “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.”

If we truly love God, we will remember Peter’s edict and show respect to everyone, even those with whom we disagree.
