Many studies have identified that contentment can be undermined by social media. Seeing peers post of their successes, it can be difficult for many to overcome envy and jealousy.
Yet, if your peers posted their failures and self-doubts rather than their successes, how might that change your view and your level of contentment? Rather than compare ourselves to others, we might consider being content in whatever circumstance God provides.
Philippians 4 teaches, “I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity.”
Remember, your contentment isn’t based on how much better you are doing than your peers. It’s based on your relationship with God and how well you learn contentment.
