Nehemiah successfully rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem partly because of his effectiveness in casting vision. Nehemiah’s vision casting is only two verses long, but it identifies four elements helpful to us in our own vision casting opportunities.
The second element is to “propose the solution.”
People don’t want to work on a futile project. Your solution doesn’t have to be too detailed or itemized, but it must be clear, viable and inspire confidence in your plan.
Nehemiah reminded the Jews that the city was desolate and in ruins. During that day and context, rebuilding the walls was the best solution.
In Nehemiah 2:17, Nehemiah said, “Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem.”
If you are casting vision to your team, make sure your solution is clear and viable.
