Our local business journal will list restaurants that have been cited by the health department for infractions of food safety and health codes. Over time, I’ve noticed that many are repeat offenders.
Before long, these repeat offenders are no longer in business. One local restaurant near us had been listed multiple times for rodent infestation.
I might have had some grace had they only been listed once, but when they were written up a second time, I made a mental note not to ever frequent that restaurant.
Proverbs 26:11 teaches, “As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly.”
Whether it’s an employee that keeps making the same mistake or a business that seems to be a repeat offender of public safety, they both should be avoided.
