Integrity Moments is a 60 second workday devotional that provides business leaders with helpful insight into what the Bible says about our work and how we can fully integrate our faith into our vocational calling.

This week I’m addressing the importance of selecting the right leaders for a board or church. In Titus 1:8, Paul said about overseers, “Rather, he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplined.”

Today let’s discuss someone who loves what is good. The Strong’s Concordance defines this phrase as a “promoter of virtue.” This is someone who desires the organization they serve to be a beacon of virtue.

These types of leaders will typically help hold the organization accountable to high standards and draw the best out of others. Strong character is crucial for the leaders of any organization, but it takes those who love good at a board level to help it permeate throughout the organization
